Something a little different for you for todays blog post and hopefully some ‘food for thought’ for anyone expecting a little one soon that is thinking about capturing those early days and for any of my lovely clients that are currently awaiting their session. As my past clients know, before each and every session i like to get to know them a little. Just a friendly phone call to run through the details, to hear how they are getting on and to figure out how best we can tailor their session to make it special for them. One of the things we touch on is the possibility of capturing some beautiful mum shots together with the new arrival. Now I KNOW what runs through my head at the thought of being photographed when feeling a little insecure ,  just take one look at what side of the camera i am hiding out on! So it never surprises me that this particular topic, more often than not, is met with a slight hesitation on the other side of the phone! My approach is always very relaxed on this topic and i obviously work to keep my clients happy whatever they may choose, however, sometimes i find all that is needed is a little reassurance and insight as to what kind of images we can achieve together. It is these images that portray the special connection between you, the pure love you have for this new little being and the emotion behind the build up and now arrival of this little soul in your life. They are only this little for a short while and it is an amazing time to cherish. I am hoping this short video will inspire you and put you at ease, i can honestly say that nearly every one of these gorgeous new mummies hesitated at the mention of getting in front of the lens BUT…… each and every one of them sat and cried on my sofa at their viewing at these specific images…… enough said:)

To all my past clients, thank you for allowing me to capture this special bond between you and your little one. Each and every one of you warms my heart with your stories and experiences and it is pure joy getting to meet each and every one of your little offspring:)
